Restore AI Privacy Policy

Effective 24 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Restore AI (the "App") handles your information. It covers the Android app (package com.neuralfulai.bulk.color.images.bulk_colorizer) and the iOS app. The App is published by Neuralful AI Ltd, 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: support@neuralfulai.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information. To use the AI tools you sign in with Google or Apple. We receive your email address and a unique account ID from the sign-in provider, through our authentication provider, Supabase. We never receive your Google or Apple password.

Photos you choose to process. When you run an AI tool (for example Colorize, Descratch, Deblur or Magic Restore), the photo you selected is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our server for processing. The App only accesses photos you pick with the system photo picker or take with the camera. It does not scan your photo library.

Credits and purchases. We keep your credit balance and a record of credit purchases, spending and refunds linked to your account. Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card details.

Device and usage information. Device model, operating system and app version, an app install ID, and records of which tools you used and when. We use this to run the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.

Crash and error reports. If the App crashes or an error occurs, a diagnostic report (device type, app version, error details) is sent to our error-tracking provider. These reports do not include your photos, and we configure them not to include personal information such as your email or IP address.

Advertising data. Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID and collect information as described in Google's policies. On iOS we ask your permission before tracking.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, a push token is stored so we can send them to you.

Content reports. If you report an AI result, we store the reason you chose, any note you wrote, the tool used and the app version. The report does not include the photo.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts or biometric data, and we do not use your photos to identify you.

2. How we use your information

  • To process your photos and return the results to you.
  • To manage your account, credits and purchases.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To review reports about AI results and improve our safeguards.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve the App.
  • To show ads to free users and send notifications you have allowed.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How your photos are handled

  • Your photo is sent to our server and then to an AI processing provider (Replicate, or Google's Gemini API) only to produce the result you asked for.
  • We do not store your photos or results in our database. Once a result is returned to the App, the job, including the photo, is deleted from our processing queue. If processing fails, the job is kept in our queue for at most one hour for troubleshooting and is then deleted automatically.
  • Our AI providers process photos on our behalf and keep them only briefly under their own policies. For example, Replicate deletes the inputs and outputs of API requests after about an hour.
  • Results you save are stored on your device (your photo library and the App's local library), not on our servers.
  • We do not use your photos to train AI models.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed:

  • Supabase: sign-in and authentication (email, account ID).
  • RevenueCat: purchase and credit management (account ID, purchase records).
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store: payments (purchase details).
  • Replicate and Google (Gemini API): AI photo processing (the photo being processed).
  • Google AdMob: ads for free users (advertising ID, device and usage data).
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications (push token).
  • Sentry: crash and error reporting (device type, app version, error details).
  • Contabo: hosting of our servers (data passing through our service).

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights and our users' safety.

5. Data retention

  • Account, credit, purchase, device and usage records are kept while your account exists, and are deleted when you delete your account.
  • Photos are not kept by us (see section 3).
  • Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
  • Content reports are kept after an account is deleted, with the link to the account removed, so we can keep improving our safeguards.
  • When an account is deleted we keep a one-way hash of its email address. It cannot be turned back into the address. We use it only to stop the free sign-up credits being claimed again by deleting and re-creating an account.

6. Deleting your account and data

In the App: open the Profile tab, scroll to Account, tap Delete account and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately, together with your credit balance, purchase and usage records and device list, and you are signed out. Unused credits are lost and cannot be restored.

Without the App: email support@neuralfulai.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my Restore AI account". We will delete your account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email. Full instructions are on our account deletion page.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings. Uninstalling the App removes the photos stored in its local library.

7. Children

Restore AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited to staff who need it. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the UK or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To use these rights, contact support@neuralfulai.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
